This May offers a number of opportunities to meet the mythbusters in person, and maybe even win some of the long-rumored CMS Myth apparel line. Our Mythbusters will be at the following events:

UX Book Club: ISITE Design Hosting Meetup

ISITE Design is hosting the Portland, UX Book Club's first meeting of the year on Tuesday March 12. As a twist to this month's meetup, instead of everyone reading the same book, members have a choice between 12 different books, essays, and presentations. All of the reading material focuses on personas and will be the topic of discussion at the meetup.

ChickTech: ISITE Design Hosting Resume & Career Workshop

As part of a continued partnership with ChickTech, ISITE Design is hosting a Resume & Career Workshop on Saturday March 16. The event will feature tech recruiters presenting a hands-on workshop to help high school girls learn what kind of tech-related career they may be interested in. The girls will also learn how to create a resume, create a LinkedIn profile, apply for internships, and more.

Appy Awards: GPS PAL Named Finalist

Columbia Sportswear's GPS PAL mobile app was announced as a finalist in the 2013 Appy Awards. "The annual Appy Awards are dedicated to acknowledging creativity and excellence in app design." GPS PAL is a finalist in the "Mapping/Location" category. The other nominees in the category are Local Search by Superpages and Scout by Scout.

Which Test Won: Gold Ribbon Knowledge Universe

Which Test Won, Gold Ribbon Image, for Knowledge UniverseISITE Design and it's partner Knowledge Universe were recently awarded multiple awards as part of the Which Test Won 2013 Online Testing Awards. There were hundreds of applicants ranging across dozens of categories and Which Test Won narrowed the field to 32 winners across 13 total categories.

Planar Systems Goes Live

ISITE Design recently launched Planar Systems Inc. newly redesigned website, which was built using a new open-source CMS solution, Umbraco. The new responsive web design allows for a seamless customer experience across any digital device including desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices. The site is also fully searchable and completely touch enabled providing an optimal user experience no matter what device the site is viewed on.

Digital Dialogues: The Brigade

This quarter's Digital Dialogues event will be on Wednesday, February 20th and will feature the team from Brigade talking about their work with the Spotify On Tour project.

The case study will be presented by Chris Jones, engineering, Nathan Searles, development, Ben Fogarty, design, and Zeke Howard, production.
