Boston – May 15, 2012 – Two ISITE Design websites were recently awarded CMSA Spotlight Awards at this year’s CMS Expo. The City of Cambridge website won a CMSA Spotlight Award in the category of Best Sitecore CMS Site for Government. The John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum for Harvard University won a CMSA Spotlight Award in the category of Best Drupal CMS Site for Colleges and Universities.
The use of Sitecore as a CMS solved multiple challenges for the City of Cambridge. It allowed management of websites by staff inside key departments. It also lessened the burden on core IT staff. In addition to a better user experience and presentation of content, the new platform makes it easier to notify residents about trash and recycling schedules, traffic delays due to road projects, library events and news, and other initiatives.
The new JFK Jr. Forum site integrates social networking in a number of ways making it possible for users to share, bookmark and comment on Forum video content. Users can also embed video content on their own blogs and social networks, further extending the Forum’s reach.
The CMSA Spotlight Awards recognize excellence in design and development, spotlighting leaders using the power of various CMSs, their apps and add-ons to achieve greatness.
