The CMS Myth Roundtable Discussion
ISITE Design is hosting a lunch-time presentation and discussion at the Benson Hotel in Portland, Oregon to discuss how companies can use Content Management Systems more effectively. The event is complementary and includes a catered lunch.
Content Management Strategist David Aponovich and ISITE Design Co-Founder Jeff Cram will lead the discussion on organizational adoption of content management systems (CMS). Aponovich, a former Director of Marketing for a top rated CMS platform, believes there is a fundamental disconnect between the expected value of a content management system and the reality of most implementations. It's what we're calling the CMS Myth.
The hypothesis behind 'The Myth' is that content management is failing in most organizations today based upon over-engineered products, poor implementation strategies and a lack of alignment with marketing and user goals. By understanding The CMS Myth, you can be better equipped to successfully manage your own CMS.
