ISITE Approved: Must Have Back-to-School Tools and Technology

It’s that time of year again – the time that students dread, and parent’s dance: back-to-school. Whether you’re a student yourself or have a young student in the house, having the right tools can make or break the back-to-school season. With that in mind, we have come up with a list of MUST HAVE apps and technology to help you and/or your student.

Quizlet is a lightning fast way to memorize vocabulary lists. It's like flashcards, but much more fun and interactive.” Students define what they need to learn, and we provide the tools.

Technology

Tablet

Whether it’s a Kindle, iPad, Nexus 7 or one of the many others available, using a tablet to purchase e-books will save you money and a back ache from carrying around heavy textbooks.

Flash Drive

Today everyone is on the move and after spending hours on a project you want to have it backed up just in case.  Especially the LaCie iamaKey because it can fit on a key ring and blend in with your other keys.

Laptop

We know that all laptops are not created equal, but we will not be entering the Mac vs. PC debate in this blog post. As long as you have a computer that has the functionality that you need and can get the job done then you are all set.

Smartphone

A smartphone can help you complete basically any task and it’s necessary if you want to actually use all of the great apps we recommended.

Backpack/Messenger Bag

Because you need something to help you organize all of your gear and get it from point A to point B safely.  We recommend Timbuk2 because their bags are well made and come with a lifetime guarantee.

What’s helping you manage the madness of the back-to-school season?
