Bringing Our Annual Customer Experience Event East

Evolution of Experience

For 7 years, beloved brands and seasoned user experience folks have gathered in Portland, Oregon. Once a year, insights from local brands creating delightful digital experiences have been delivered, discussed and shared at ISITE Design’s annual UX event, Love at First Website.

But experience design has evolved with digital, enabling stronger and better connections, affording us opportunities for creating truly inspired experiences across channels. Fittingly, Love at First Website has also transformed and evolved into Delight 2012, gathering the likes of Columbia, RueLaLa, Zipcar, Simple, and many more over the years.

October 25th, we’re bringing the experience out East for FutureM Boston.

Design for Delight

Debi Kleiman, our friend at MITX, wrote a piece for last week exploring ten tips for delivering better experiences. Her list hits upon several characteristics of genuinely “loveable” brands (including a hat tip to one of our session speakers, Gemvara), and we couldn’t agree more.

These days, delivering a good experience is not enough. Customers expect exceptional, personal, inspired and delightful experiences.

With shifting expectations comes a new paradigm for building relationships, and we’re thrilled to share the stories and insights of brands that are going above and beyond to do just that.

The Folks Behind the Brands

We’re bringing together a panel of 4 Beantown locals that are well-known and loved for the inspired interactions they deliver, including:

Brian Kalma, Gemvara
Formerly the brains behind the Zappos and Gilt Groupe UX, Brian is doing big things these days with Gemvara, a custom-jewelry designer.

Lesley Mottla, Zipcar
From mobile to the web, Lesley is leading the charge in Zipcar’s innovative product and member experiences.

John Pepper, Boloco
Founder and CEO of Boloco, John drives up the efforts of this local favorite to deliver inspired burritos and experiences.

David Oksman, Life is good
David heads up the marketing efforts at Life is good, spreading optimism to customers while also making a difference in the community.

Dave Wieneke, ISITE Design
A digital strategy heavyweight, Dave helps companies unify and act on customer experience plans through his work at ISITE Design, as well as keynotes across the globe.
