The doors swung open to our new headquarters on November 28 as employees were greeted with mimosas and a spirited welcome committee. It was a rewarding day to see all the hard work over the last 6 months of construction come to fruition in a new home that will serve the agency for many years to come.
The space, is indeed, spectacular. The 18,000 sq. ft. building at 2030 NW Pettigrove in Portland, Oregon was transformed into an agency headquarters built for collaboration, community and innovation. The build out process was led by our COO Kevin Mackie and included contributions from most of the company as we created a space that was built exactly for our needs. From the shipping container conference room to the brainstorming room and fireplace, the building is both functional and comfortable.
We have a community room that we're opening up to local associations and groups (e-mail us if you are looking for a meetup space), private incubator offices we're renting out to local entrepreneurs, and a space we'll be leasing for a future restaurant or cafe.
Most importantly, we're planning an open house party on January 20, 2012 and we want you all to attend.
Check out some of the photos below and we hope to see you at the grand opening in January.
The reception desk glows. It's a feature.

We tried to bring in some of the comforts from home.

One of the signature features of the building are the shipping containers. They polished up quite nicely.

Our brainstorming room features a beautiful table, just ready for some big ideas.

Brainstorming room by day. Festive gathering place by night.

Lots of fit and finish to make sure everything is just right.
Our library is curated by Peter Heide.
The first day was filled with excitement (and mimosas). The welcome committee made sure everyone had a memorable day 1.
Look for more photos and stories as we get settled, and we hope to see you all at the open house party in January.
