UX & CMS: Together at Last?
Melissa Casburn talks about how CMS and User Experience have more in common than you may think.
In a recent presentation at Gilbane San Francisco, Melissa Casburn of ISITE Design discussed the intersection between user experience design and Content Management Systems (CMS). Specifically, she explored the increasing role of user personas in the CMS planning process.
Historically, companies have developed user personas to better understand their target markets and help align content and design with their audiences’ particular interests. In the latest CMS evolution, user personas are becoming a fundamental piece of the puzzle that maps dynamic content and web personalization to different user types.
I sat down with Melissa in a fireside (did we mention it is still 40 degrees in Portland) chat to discuss how UX and CMS all fits together.
Listen to our conversation:
Andy sounds handsome.
