Overview
ISITE Design is seeking a seasoned Information Architect responsible for translating client business objectives and user needs into successful and usable online solutions. The position is responsible for architecting the site organization and user experience which serves as the blueprint for the creative design and site development.
Experience with user interface design, information design, and navigational and content presentation best practices is critical. The information architect will utilize research techniques including surveys, end user interviews, web analytics, user persona development, heuristic evaluations and user testing. Working in a team environment, the Information Architect will create and present solution concepts for clients, including the development of site maps, wireframes, navigation standards, content inventories, functional requirements, use case models and flowcharts. Writing and content development expertise is strongly desired.
Responsibilities
- Represent ISITE Design in a professional and ethical manner and possess a strong conviction to customer service and satisfaction for themselves and ISITE Design
- Exhibit a high degree of comfort presenting in from on audiences, prepare for and lead discovery meetings with clients to gather content and functional requirements
- Conduct end user interviews, heuristic evaluations and user testing
- Write content and functional requirements documents that convey the business objectives along with the users needs, including user persona development
- Create and present information architecture documents as client deliverables, including site maps, wireframes and functional flowcharts
- Actively balance user, business, operational and technical needs to provide the best solutions that meet the clients needs
- Manage personal workflow and deliverable deadlines of multiple and simultaneous projects
- Deliver high-quality deliverables on time and within budget for medium to large projects
- Build long-term relationships with clients and team members
- Contribute and participate in all company meetings and work relations with a strong team spirit and respect for coworkers
- Stay current on Web and Internet technologies as they apply to the ongoing needs of our customers and the solutions that ISITE Design offers
Qualifications
Experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in information architecture with a proven track record of architecting and/or designing compelling user interfaces and user experiences
- Agency experience is a plus
Education and/or Formal Training
- College degree preferred within a related field such as human-computer interaction, human factors, visual design, product design, or interactive design
